The rocks and fossils of Ontario have all the evidence of being quickly and catastrophically formed.
It was a beautiful sunny day for this year's open house thus our popular fossil hunt activity was held outdoors. Excited kids broke open shale slabs to locate trilobites and other fossils.
When they broke open the slabs they smelt oil, evidence that the creatures were buried quickly because they had no time to rot. You would expect to find rocks like that if there were a quick catastrophic flood such as Noah's Flood wouldn't you?
An amazing complete museum grade trilobite was found by Jameson Pallant.
Way to go Jameson!
Trilobites are extinct marine creatures and are no help to the theory of evolution. Evolutionists are stumped by these so called "primitive" creatures because of their highly complex eye design.

Visitors saw many new fossils that were added to the museum including a fluorescent rock display. Rocks that actually light up under a black light.
As well as viewing fossils kids were able to touch and handle the rocks throughout the museum.
Rebecca Kenyon and Miriam Legemaate stationed at the rock store!
People were able to start their own table top creation museum at home by purchasing from large selection of rocks and fossils. Each rock comes complete with an evidence and identification card.
Congratulations to Neil George of Stouffville Ontario who won this year's fossil draw. He came home with a pair of fossil clams on a limestone slab. If you don't already receive regular museum updates, e-mail museum curator Martin Legemaate at; [email protected]
Open House Feedback
Once again I would like to compliment you with the great Kingdom Work you are doing with the Goodwood museum. Susan and I enjoyed our visit this morning thoroughly. I purchased the two Darwin (on the rocks) DVDs as per my interest in Joggins. I read the newspaper articles on your bulletin board....blessed are those who persecuted in the name of our Lord! May our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ greatly bless and protect your efforts.

Quarry Research Dig April 16th.
Photo: Limestone quarry in Southern Ontario.
It wasn't so sunny on this day in fact it was drizzling but that doesn't stop "diehard" collectors from seizing the moment. Quarries are a window into the rock strata of Ontario where optimal research can take place. It is also the best area for fossil collecting because the blasting does the work for you. All you do is come in and pick up the fossils that have been laying there.

This Quarry was particularly good for mound shaped bryozoan collecting. Bryozoans are small marine creatures that live in colonies. They are found in mound, globular, web and stick shaped. Some great specimens have been found to be added to the museum.
Participant Dave Milligan not only helped with the research but came back with some great fossils of his own.

You will learn how to look for evidence of Creation and Catastrophe/Noah's Flood and discover exciting
things about the rapid formation of rocks. You'll get some great rock/fossil specimens and enjoy a
fantastic day out.
